Im waiting on the ups man. He's bringing me a bag of pay dirt from Nome Alaska. It's like xmas in july when I get those. If you watch the tv show "Bering Sea Gold" you know what Im talking about.
As I sit here trying to solve the issue why my computer won't update, I remember back to this morning. I finished the weedeating before walking back to the shed. Inside, scared and confused was a female cardinal. Maybe it was my mom coming back to check on me. She liked Cardinals.
It's so hot that if someone told me to go jump in a lake, I would. lol
It's a BE-AU-TI-FUL day here in Illinois today. The sun is shining, tulips and magnolia trees are blooming and the birds are singing. To quote Mr. Rogers from PBS, "Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood". The Library where I'm blogging from currently, was all abuzz with young children during story time earlier. One little, curious boy asked me when I arrived, "What are you going to do here?" Me- "I'm going to get on my computer." ( I brought my laptop) I walked around the building to use their restroom before climbing the stairs to get started. He had rushed through the building and came down the stairs just to ask me another similar question. (At this time I was entering the restroom). When I came out, he was leaving. I guess if you can't ask questions at the Library....? lol. Today's trip and blog is to let you know that I've been busy typing out my Mom's final book she left behind. I wasn't aware of a final chapter until I recently discovered it. "Dan's Rose" is turning out to be a full length novel but will still need to be edited. Stay tuned. Sorry it's been so long. Lots going on here. The second weekend in a row that our little city has gotten around seven inches of snow. Last week the cold froze and burst a water pipe even though I left the water dripping. Guess it wasn't fast enough. The Mall where I work is going back to regular hours this week. So a little bigger paycheck for me and more shopping hours for the public. The second in the True Blue series is still a work in progress but what I am really excited about is a Christmas story that I'm working on. Ahhh yes...the magic of Christmas is always a wonder to behold. At the present time, I am calling it, "A Sleigh Ride To Remember". This will definitely be a story to read around the fireplace or to the kids when they are tucked into a warm bed at bedtime. I got to thinking today. Yes I know that can be dangerous sometimes..lol. You know Sue, you haven't given the twins names yet! So before I write that part of the story I thought it would be cool to ask the public for ideas. If you win, I'll send you a free copy of : My True Blue True Blue x 2 ( when its finished ) First Love, Forever Tell me which one you want, or all 3. I can't reveal if the babies will be boys, girls or one of each. So that means you'll have to give me an idea for all 3 ways. Inbox me on Facebook with your ideas, your name, city and state. I will make the decision on October 20, 2014. If I choose you, I'll reply back for the mailing address. Can't wait to hear your ideas. Let's go! (Contest closed) www.facebook.com/SueEWarner.Author I try to add something to this site everyday, not only to let you know more info on my books but to also improve the site. Today I'm going to be working on setting up my blog feed. Please be patient with me while I figure this out. I like using You tube training videos.
